Procurement Manager
Role Title Procurement Manager Company our client Location Los Angeles area (role will support growth across the US) Salary $100,000 USD Role Summary our client is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Manager to establish procurement infrastructure and operational procedures that scale as the company grows. This is a hands-on, process-focused procurement role best suited to a junior-to-mid-level candidate who can organize and optimize spare parts inventory, procurement timelines, delivery tracking, and supply‑chain workflows. You will work closely with operations and project teams as our client prepares for an upcoming growth and international expansion phase. Key Responsibilities Design, document, and implement procurement processes and infrastructure to standardize purchasing across projects and teams. Build and maintain an accurate spare parts inventory system: categorize parts, define stock levels, and create replenishment triggers. Own procurement timelines and delivery tracking: set and monitor lead times, expected delivery dates, and escalation procedures for late or at‑risk shipments. Manage supplier relationships and vendor performance monitoring (onboarding, contracts, delivery performance, issue resolution). Support and run the RFP process when needed: prepare documentation, evaluate bids, and coordinate selection with stakeholders. Coordinate supply‑chain procurement activities across internal teams to ensure parts and materials are available for projects on schedule. Develop KPI reporting and dashboards to provide visibility into procurement status, inventory health, and supplier metrics. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement changes to reduce cost, lead times, and stockouts. Technical Requirements Demonstrated procurement experience and familiarity with end‑to‑end procurement cycles. Asset management experience preferred, particularly where it intersects with procurement and spare parts. Proven understanding of spare parts inventory management, procurement timelines, and delivery date coordination. Experience with supply‑chain procurement best practices and vendor management. Experience supporting or running RFP processes. Experience and Skills Junior to mid‑level experience in procurement, supply chain, or related operational roles. Strong process orientation with the ability to translate informal practices into repeatable procedures and systems. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective communicator capable of coordinating cross‑functional teams and escalating issues appropriately. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling startup environment and adapting processes as the company grows.
