Position Title VP of Operations Company our client Compensation USD 200,000 - 225,000 + bonus and equity Role Summary our client is seeking a VP of Operations to build and implement operational infrastructure and processes that enable the company to scale. This role will be a hands-on operator who organizes existing teams, formalizes procurement and asset-management workflows, and creates the second layer of leadership so the CEO can step out of day-to-day execution. The company is closing a $30–50M funding round (primarily debt to finance new projects) and anticipates international growth in the coming year. Key Responsibilities Design, document and implement operational infrastructure, policies and procedures across procurement, inventory and spare-parts management. Own supply-chain and procurement operations: vendor management, purchase timelines, delivery tracking, and spare parts inventory control. Build repeatable processes for procurement cycles, RFP follow-through (RFP groundwork is complete), and supplier performance monitoring. Establish inventory and asset management practices, including tracking, lifecycle planning and spare-parts optimization. Work with engineering, finance and project teams to align procurement lead times with project schedules and delivery dates. Create dashboards, KPIs and reporting to provide transparency into procurement, inventory, and asset status. Mentor and develop the second layer of the operations team; hire and manage direct reports as needed. Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives. Technical and Functional Requirements Demonstrated experience in supply chain and procurement operations. Experience with spare parts inventory management and procurement timelines. Asset management experience strongly preferred; asset-management experience combined with procurement background is ideal. Proven ability to design and implement operational procedures and infrastructure. Comfortable with a hands-on, execution-oriented role at a fast-moving company with a small vendor base (currently ~10 vendors). Strong organizational skills and ability to bring order to smart but currently unstructured teams. Experience Level Junior to mid-level VP of Operations is acceptable — we are looking for a process-focused operator rather than a title-focused executive. Prior experience scaling operations in a growing company and building processes from the ground up is beneficial. What Success Looks Like (first 6–12 months) Documented procurement and inventory processes in place and adopted by relevant teams. Reliable spare-parts inventory system with clear reorder points and lead-time tracking. Measurable improvements in on-time deliveries, reduced stockouts, and streamlined procurement cycles. Clear operational reporting and KPIs that free the CEO from day-to-day execution. Why Join our client Be a core operational hire at a company about to enter a significant funding and growth phase. Opportunity to shape the operational foundation and build the second layer of the team. Meaningful equity and bonus tied to company success. How to Apply Please submit a resume and a brief cover letter detailing relevant procurement and asset-management experience and describing one example where you built operational procedures that had measurable impact.
